Lately, homeless people have been spending the night around Utrecht Central again more often. Ilse Raaijmakers, councilor of the PvdA in Utrecht, calls the situation “inhumane”, in an open letter in De Utrechtse Internet Courant (DUIC). Raaijmakers believes that we have fallen through a lower limit and draws attention to the situation of the people who “sleep among the rats, dirt and junk”.
