Three of the youth home’s six wards will be closed as of Maundy Thursday after the emergency services are said to have found serious deficiencies during a fire safety inspection.
– It became clear that we had to strengthen. We simply cannot have young people, some of whom are locked up, with us under these circumstances, says the director of the department, Jessica Lifström, to Smålands-Tidningen.
According to the newspaper, 14 young people need to move from Långanäs.
