Siro, whose factory construction has started as of today, will be on the agenda with Togg in the near future.
The battery company Siro, which has been in the plans since the first moments of the implementation of the domestic automobile startup Togg, is taking concrete steps for its R&D and production facility to operate in Gemlik as of today. The factory, the construction process of which has started, will be built on a land of 607 thousand square meters. The first phase of the production, which will be made with a capacity of 20 GWh including the battery cell, is planned to be completed by the end of 2024, and the year 2026 is targeted for battery cell production. In parallel with all these, it is vital to bring together all the past and future steps of Siro, which was born from the partnership of Togg and Chinese Farasis, which will be on the agenda in the coming period.

Togg and Farasis will become net partners from Siro operation
We know that Togg and Farasis Energy are a 50-50% net partnership brand for the operations of Siro, which was established on September 27, 2021. After the establishment of the company, it was decided to give ‘Project-Based State Aid’ with the President’s Decision dated 17 December 2021 and numbered 4924. Within the scope of the decision, the right of easement was established in Siro for a 607 thousand square meter land next to the Togg Technology Campus with the President’s Decision dated July 6, 2022 and numbered 5773. Siro, who formed the engineering team after the installation stages, started to work on module and package production at the Battery Development Center in Gebze. Simultaneously, it accelerated the works for the installation of the mass production lines in Gemlik. Siro has completed the tests and battery-specific homologation of the battery prototypes that it started to produce in August 2022. In January 2023, it started the production of Li-Ion NMC battery modules and packs based on Farasis Energy’s latest technology for Togg smart devices at the Battery Technology Center building on the Togg Technology Campus.

30 billion TL investment will be made until 2032
Siro, whose production capacity will reach 20 GWh by 2031, will own the intellectual property rights of all the products and solutions it develops. This situation is in direct parallel with the process implemented for Togg’s brand formation. Siro, being directly responsible for 120 countries in the region besides Turkey, wants to exist in a wide area with fixed energy storage applications for micromobility, industrial applications, marine vehicles, renewable energy as well as automotive. If everything goes as planned, 2 thousand 200 people will be employed in Siro with an investment of 30 billion TL by the end of 2032.
