Wyoming’s Sipkens Nurseries will be holding the grand opening of its newly expanded garden center on Saturday, April 30.

From 10 am to 3 pm, the Sipkens family is inviting local residents and gardening enthusiasts to take a tour of the new 24,500-square-foot addition to their facility. The event will feature door prizes, food trucks, food samples as well as a caricature artist. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10:30 am

Along with garden centre, Sipkens Nurseries is also home to a boutique gift store, landscape design and install, an online store, production greenhouses as well as field production.

Garden Center manager Brian Sipkens said he is looking forward to showcasing the store’s improved facilities and thanked the community for their ongoing support. Construction on the expanded garden center began last November.

“We are very thankful to the community for supporting us for 34 years, this expansion is our biggest yet, our quality and product guarantee allows us to continue to grow success across Lambton County. We offer a special e-newsletter to subscribe on www.sipkensnurseries.com where we share gardening expertise, workshops, seminars and more,” he said.

Sipkens Nurseries opened its doors in 1989 when Jennifer and Ken Sipkens bought a 129-acre farm just outside Sarnia.
