Jannik Sinner will face Alexander Zverev in the Australian Open final.
Number one in the world tennis rankings Jannik Sinner advanced to the Australian Open final. Sinner beat the US in the semifinals Ben Shelton’s 7–6, 6–2, 6–2.
The opening set lasted more than 70 minutes, and Shelton hit hard. He also had two set points, but Sinner twisted the set for himself. After that, the Italian raced to a convincing victory despite minor leg cramps.
Sinner will defend his last year’s victory in Melbourne. He also won the US Open last year. In the finals, Sinner will meet the world number two, the German who is hunting for his first Grand Slam tournament victory Alexander Zverev.
