Simon Sköld about his Tesla: “Worst experience I’ve had”

Simon Skold about his Tesla Worst experience Ive had

Simon Sköld is a big car fan, and in this capacity was a guest on Nyheter24’s new car podcast Under the Hood.

Simon talked about everything from his racing ambitions and dream cars, to childhood caravan holidays.

He also talked about the short period when he owned a Tesla, which he describes as the “worst experience I’ve had with a car brand, and a car, in my entire life”.

Bought a 7-seater Tesla Model S

The Tesla in question was a Model S P100D that Simon bought as a family car a few years ago.

An important buying argument for Simon and his family of six was that the car could be had with seven seats.

The third row of seats consists of two rear-facing seats that fold up from the floor in the luggage compartment.

The seats are tight but work for small children, and since Simon’s whole family rarely drives together, the arrangement was perfect.

– In that way, it was a fantastic solution, says Simon.

Broken roof, dent and damaged window

However, the Tesla that was delivered was anything but perfect.

Simon tells us that the roof was broken, that the car had a dent, and that a window had damage.

Tesla did not provide feedback on the faults for three weeks, and the service was disastrous.

“Wish I had bought Tesla shares instead”

In the end, the Tesla sat at the workshop for six weeks, and when it came time to collect the car, Simon had already sold it.

– So I went and got it from the workshop and went straight away and left the key, he says.

Tesla ownership thus did not become a long-term story for Simon Sköld, who has a reflection on what he should have done with the money instead of buying his Model S.

– I wish I had bought Tesla shares instead. It would have been a hell of a lot better deal, laughs Simon.
