“We were not favorites, that was clear in advance,” says Koetsier from the sports hall in Sweden where the World Cup is taking place. The forces were measured during the first pull. “Then I thought ‘that’s going to be a tough one’, but on the second pull we turned out to have a longer breath.” The third pull proved that the Dutch team had the upper hand. “We pulled them down. It wasn’t a pretty sight, but I’m glad it worked. In the evening we had a few beers in the hotel bar to celebrate.”
