A Simcoe woman could be $250,000 richer come September 25.
On that date, Doris Wilson could receive a prize payout from a winning Instant Crossword Deluxe scratch ticket.
The delay is due to the fact Wilson’s daughter works for an authorized OLG retailer. As such, the claim falls under an ‘insider win’ category.
“Claims of $10,000 or more made by insiders require enhanced review and validation as well as a 30-day publication period prior to payment to ensure there are no additional claims on the winning ticket.,” OLG said in a media release.
If there are no other claims prior to Sept. 25, the money will be paid to Wilson.
The ticket was purchased in Simcoe at BJ Convenience on West Street.
