Eddie and Mary Make First Appearance in Silent Hill 2 Remake
One of the most striking details in the trailer is the first appearance of Eddie and Mary, two important NPC characters who have never been seen in cinematics before. Eddie’s face is similar to Tweedle Dee/Tweedle Dum, but with a backwards baseball cap, it’s very true to the original. These details make the character feel noticeably odd in all the right ways. Mary also closely mirrors the original character with her outfit and hairstyle.
The trailer also shows more conflict scenes and Silent Hill 2‘s new over-the-shoulder camera perspective gives us a longer look at the game’s bleak environments. Iconic locations like the prison, hotel, park, and Brookhaven hospital appear to have been recreated almost exactly as the originals.
