As part of the State of Play, there were new trailers for the remake of Silent Hill 2. Many players are pre-ordering it on the PS5, despite the excitement.
Why is there excitement? In one of the two new trailers for Silent Hill 2, fans were able to get a first look at Angela’s new character model. This caused divided opinions in the community.
If you missed the trailer a few days ago, we have included it here for you:
Fans of the original are particularly critical of Angela’s new design. If you look at the comments under the trailer (via YouTube), many players don’t seem happy with the changes made by the development studio Bloober Team. “Angela was stung by a bee,” writes one user in his comment.
In fact, many people are quite negative about Angela’s face, which they think is too round in the new design. Another comment agrees with the previous user and compares her head to a cake, but says that her body is still very thin.
On Reddit, a user claims to have asked Bloober, but they would not change Angela’s design. In addition to the criticism, there are also players who think this is a good thing. They praise Angela’s new design and think that she finally looks like the 19-year-old she is supposed to be. In the original, she looked more like 25.
Does that change the anticipation? The remake of Silent Hill 2 has been eagerly awaited for a long time, especially by fans of the original and horror fans. The new design of Angela doesn’t seem to change that much.
In the Playstation Store, the horror game is still in 6th place for the most purchased pre-orders on the PS5. Only the new Elden Ring DLC, Destiny 2: The Final Form and Test Drive are ahead of it. The former are also in the pre-orders in various versions. This means that Silent Hill 2 is theoretically in 4th place for the most pre-orders.
