In Marrakech, the African Dance Biennial continues its course this week. Among the flagship pieces on the program, Siguifin – which means ” magic monster »In Bambara – brings together four choreographers. They come from Senegal, Mali and Burkina Faso and have led nine dancers from these three countries. A beautiful pan-African artistic adventure.
The hour-long show is directed by choreographer Amala Dianor who brought in three other choreographers. Alioune Diagne from Mali, Ladji Koné from Burkina Faso and Naomi Fall from Senegal. The goal ? Celebrate the vitality of a hybrid African dance, decompartmentalized, in perpetual evolution, like the artistic bubbling that animates the entire continent.
