A large absent, which has however been omnipresent since 1994. Line Renaud Will not be on the stage of the Marigny theater, this Saturday evening, during the replay, on France 2, of the concert of Sidaction. Registered on March 11 and 12 with a skewer of stars who came to sing for a good cause, the event is broadcast on the public channel, with a view to promoting donations at the call of the association which has been working for decades in the fight against AIDS.

Orchestrated by host Stéphane Bern, this evening, the 31st of the genre to fight AIDS, has no particular theme, but has bet on unpublished and surprising duos. But at the age of 96, Line Renaud, the vice-president of the association, who had not missed any edition since 1994 (apart from that of 2022 because of the COVIR), this time could not make the trip. “She is a little tired, we are not going to lie,” said Stéphane Bern at Télé Loisirs a few days ago. “I would have loved being by his side,” he said, “but at his age it is understandable that she cannot be physically present”.

In the Figaro TV On March 21, Line Renaud herself assured that she was “behind the scenes the same afternoon” of the shooting, to shoot a few sequences which will be broadcast during the concert. But “almost 97” she says she has “a little less taste to watch late at night”. “I am not eternal and one day it will be necessary to do without me,” she also said.

The actress wanted to participate in Sidaction via three recorded video messages, punctuated by her traditional calls for donations. “As long as AIDS is there, we will be there,” said Line Renaud, relentlessly restoring 110, number to call to send a donation. “The struggle must continue because we do not yet have a vaccine, the researchers can block the virus but still not completely eliminate it from the organism,” she also recalled, believing that “today, we live better with AIDS but, alas, we still die.”

And to cite the 600,000 deaths still caused by the disease. “Without your gifts, we will not win this fight. Thank you very much for doing 110. And believe me, not a penny will be lost,” she concluded according to the journalist Figaro present to recording.
