Showdown is one of the big winners of 2023 on Steam – introduces new weapons in the trailer

The popular horror shooter on Steam presents the new Battle Pass content in a trailer that once again impresses on a graphical level. You can find out which weapons and items you can get now here on MeinMMO.

Why is this horror shooter a winner? Hunt: Showdown is definitely a winner on Steam in 2023. At least if you look at the player numbers compared to last year. These have increased significantly (via steamcharts.com):

  • In 2022, the average number of players constantly fluctuated between 10,000 and 12,000 players.
  • In comparison, the average number of players in 2023 will usually be at least 16,000 players.
  • Hunt: Showdown even managed to break 20,000 twice.

    • It’s relatively unusual for a game to improve so significantly after years, and it’s all the more remarkable how well Hunt: Showdown is developing overall.

    It’s also nice to see that a German studio in Frankfurt achieves such an achievement with its game. Most recently, Crytek also announced that they are working on a new engine for Hunt: Showdown.

    New content and battle pass for horror shooters introduced

    What new content will be introduced? A new Battle Pass is now available to you and offers you the opportunity to get your hands on new weapons, items and a new hunter early on.

    This trailer introduces you to some new weapons that you can unlock now:

  • Ancestor’s Wrath – Legendary Katana
  • Fossil Tooth – Legendary Drilling Hand Cannon

  • Last Line – Legendary Caldwell Pax Trueshot
  • Veil Slasher – Legendary Dagger 96 Claw

  • Sullied & Sworn – Legendary LeMat Mark II Carbine Marksman

    • In addition to these seven new weapons, the two weapon trailers Abyssal Anchor and Bitter Honey are also introduced in the trailer.

    You will also receive two new items. The legendary regeneration syringe “Thorax Brew” and the legendary liquid fire bomb “Fiery Froth”.
