On the occasion of New Year 2025, residents of the capital as well as tourists are invited to go to the Champs-Elysées to observe a sound and light show on the Arc de Triomphe, followed by fireworks. We tell you everything about the program and travel restrictions.
Every year for the New Year, Paris City Hall organizes a grandiose sound and light show on the Champs-Élysées. Tuesday, December 31, 2024, New Year’s Eve will be marked by an evening on the theme of Olympics and the athletes who lit up the Paris 2024 Games this summer with a mapping on the monument and a fireworks display at midnight.
The meeting takes place from 7 p.m. on the most beautiful avenue in the world with artistic activities combining live shows with the famous companies of the Phénix circus and Folies Gruss and performances with dancers from the Moulin Rouge and Paradis Latin. Stars of singing will be present, from Eddy de Pretto to Lio, including Jean-Louis Aubert, Franglish, David Hallyday, Chimène Badi, Dany Brillant and Cerrone. The Republican Guard also promises musical surprises. The show will be broadcast live on France 2, presented by Stéphane Bern from 9:10 p.m.
Place for sound and light at 11:50 p.m. with a 10-minute video-mapping at the Arc de Triomphe on the multiple faces of Paris, sometimes a city of light, a cultural city, a romantic city, an innovative city, a festive city… Finally, the countdown time before the fireworks at midnight, lasting 10 minutes on an all-female playlist. Numerous screens along the avenue will allow you to follow the show.
