The film directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen brings together Denis Ménochet and Marina Foïs in the cast, in the role of a French couple living in Galicia. But their presence will not be to the liking of their neighbors, and the tension will rise until reaching the point of irreparable. French critics are won over by this film, presented at the last Cannes Film Festival, since the film obtains a press rating of 4.1/5 on Allociné (counting 18 reviews).
The critics are thus dithyrambic: it is “one of the great films of the year” for La Voix du Nord, while CinemaTeaser salutes “a lesson in cinema”. His “oppressive” and “staggering” (Positive) account of identity fractures did not leave the press unscathed. “You have to have the nerves well hung to cash As Bestas, so much Sorogoyen cultivates the tension there with a formidable mastery”, estimates Le Parisien.
