Should the right to vote be lowered to 16?

For six days, Belgians have been able to register from the age of 16 on the electoral lists for the European women of 2024. A lowering of the right to vote already generalized to all the polls in several countries: Austria, Brazil or even Cuba. What are the obstacles to such an evolution? Could this measure make it possible to fight against abstention?
