When EV Electra bought the Emily GT and Pons projects from NEVS at the end of last year, company founder Jihad Mohammed stated that the plan was to manufacture the car in Trollhättan as early as 2024.
It later emerged, however, that the factory was not close to being in condition for building cars, and that Jihad Mohammad was not interested in renting himself into someone else’s factory. There was also no option to buy the factory off.

Not quite done for Trollhättan
The announcement that the car will not be built in Trollhättan may come as sad news for those who hoped for a revival of the old factory in Stallbacka.
However, these individuals can be happy that part of the soul of the project will still live in Trollhättan.
– The engineers are based in Trollhättan. But the production ends up in Italy, it’s already signed, says Jihad Mohammad. However, he does not want to give any more precise details than that.
