“Should I worry or marry her?”

Hack and Slay fans are already looking forward to the release of Diablo 4 on June 6th. A gamer plans a week-long gaming marathon right after the release, triggering a discussion on Reddit.

The release of Diablo 4 is imminent. One gamer is already well prepared for June 6th and has stocked up on everything you need to stay home for a week.

Amazon order raises questions

What is the friend saying? In the unofficial subreddit for Diablo 4, a post by the user “Kahuna21386” is currently doing the rounds. In it he reports how he and his girlfriend are preparing for the release of the game.

Both would have taken the week off, as you do it that way. But when Kahuna stumbled across his girlfriend’s Amazon orders, she wondered if she might be taking things a little too seriously.

What did the girlfriend order? The order overview listed by Kahuna contains pretty much everything you need for a week-long gaming marathon – including the equipment to spend as little time away from your desk as possible:

  • 120 cans of Monster Energy (sugar free)
  • All imaginable snacks
  • microwave food
  • A small microwave for the table
  • disposable tableware
  • A portable kettle
  • 50 packs of instant noodle soup
  • Finally, the Reddit user asks the community, “Should I be worried, or just buy a ring and marry her?”

    Reddit users scoff: “No diapers?”

How are the reactions? The May 20 post garnered over 1,100 comments. Many users show little enthusiasm for the planned campaign and fear health risks. We have compiled some of the answers for you here:

  • WorldlinessSpare3626: “I’m surprised the list doesn’t include adult diapers and talcum powder.”
  • dont_trust_the_popo: “Sounds like the only kind of ring she wants is an onion ring.”
  • eynonpower: “OP’s girlfriend might want to cast Corpse Blast on them while they’re still alive!”
  • Sean_Lock: “Wow, it would be so much cheaper to just buy some cocaine then you don’t need to eat.”
  • Were there also positive reactions? There was. Reddit user Delling_Rembran writes that he and his wife agree that it’s sweet of the girlfriend to plan a memorable and fun week with her partner: it might seem nerdy to some, but for many it’s just a vacation.

Kahuna used this comment to explain the situation somewhat: The couple have no plans to only eat ready-to-eat food for a week. It should just be a cool week, since the last joint gaming marathon of this kind was years ago.

In the meantime, however, the two have great jobs with paid vacation days and would therefore really let it rip (via Reddit).
