Shots fired at residence in Veberöd

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

— We received an alarm at 10:45 p.m. after a resident noticed that something, which could be a shot, had gone through a glass pane. When we were on site, we could ascertain that it was a shooting, says Peter Martin, officer on duty at the police.

No one was injured in the shooting and no one is in custody or a suspect.

The incident is classified as attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences. According to Peter Martin, it is still too early to say what type of weapon may have been fired.

– But it is enough that we know that it is a serious weapon crime and therefore not an air weapon or something else that was used.

An area around the residence was initially cordoned off, but at 4 o’clock on Thursday morning the cordons were lifted.
