An apartment in the Gårdsten district in northern Gothenburg has been shot through the front door with several shots, the police write on their website.
There were both adults and children in the home, but no one was physically injured.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into attempted murder and serious weapons offences. The scene is cordoned off for a technical investigation and the police are interviewing witnesses. No one is suspected or arrested.
