During the night of Saturday, several people raised the alarm that they heard shots being fired on Övre Nytorgsgatan in Helsingborg. At the scene, the police found bullet holes in the facade of an apartment building.
– It is a multi-family building, so it can be assumed that people were there, but I do not know if shots were aimed at anyone in particular, says Evelina Olsson, press spokesperson for the police region South.
It was around 01:15 on the night of Saturday that the police were alerted to the incident. During the night, the place was cordoned off and the police also worked to check people and vehicles in the area
– There have been cordons, special dog searches and person and vehicle checks, says Evelina Olsson.
No one was injured in connection with the incident
No one is said to have been injured in connection with the shooting, which is classified as a serious weapon crime.
There is currently no one detained.
The closures were lifted at 03:30 on Saturday morning.
