Shot his sister dead – after a fight over Christmas presents

The family tragedy began when siblings Abrielle Baldwin, 23, Darcus Coley, 15, and Damarcus Coley, 14, were out shopping for Christmas presents with their mother. After that, the plan was to celebrate Christmas Eve at the siblings’ grandmother’s house. At Grandma’s home, a verbal argument ensues over which sibling received the most Christmas presents.

According to Fox 13, the younger brother was reportedly upset that his older brother received more Christmas presents than himself. It led to him shooting his sister to death.

“When Abrielle told Damarcus to stop fighting because it was Christmas, he replied that he was going to shoot her and the eleven-month-old baby she was holding. Then Damarcus shot Abrielle in the chest,” the police write in a press release.

Wanted revenge

The older brother wanted revenge and then shot his younger brother before leaving the scene. Their sister, who was a mother of two, later died from her injuries. The younger brother, Damarcus Coley, does not have life-threatening injuries.

The two brothers were quickly arrested and are now charged with murder and attempted murder.

– Abrielle was a mother of two who was just trying to make a living and live her life.

– The amount of guns that are spreading on the streets and into the hands of the youth in the area is the worst I have ever seen, says police chief Bob Gualtieri, according to People.
