Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi states that during the night the country was attacked by over 70 Russian drones, most of which were shot down.
The president thanks the air defense for having succeeded in protecting the citizens of Kiev, Kharkiv, Kherson and Odessa, among others, reports the Italian news agency Ansa.
During the night, alarms have sounded several times over the capital Kiev and explosions are said to have taken place in Odessa.
Zelenskyy repeats again that Ukraine needs more air defenses to be able to withstand Russian attacks and to be able to protect the population.
“We are working on this with all our partners,” he said in a statement on Telegram.
