Short Term Maintenance for Update 7.1.0.1 – All times and info

Today, Destiny 2 announced a short-term maintenance – without warning. The players were surprised by this. It should also last several hours. MeinMMO informs you what’s going on there.

Update history for maintenance update 7.1.0.1:

5:15 p.m.: The servers just went offline. Destiny 2 will therefore not be available in the coming hours. As always, you can find the exact times and how long below.

What you need to know today: Actually, no downtime of Destiny 2 was planned today. But Bungie has announced a maintenance break in the game. This has surprised many a guardian and left them questioning. Because times or other information from Bungie, there was initially little.

  • On Twitter, the developer only shared the information that maintenance for update 7.1.0.1 will go offline.
  • And even in the game, the surprised guardians only got the message that Destiny 2 will shut down its servers “soon” and that you will soon be removed from all activities.
  • MeinMMO will keep you up to date in this short-term maintenance article and update what Bungie continues to share.

So Bungie announced today the surprising maintenance work in the game

Maintenance on 01.06. – All times to the server down

These times are important today: Since the maintenance was carried out at very short notice, Bungie did not, as usual, provide more detailed information about the downtime several hours in advance. These were only added to Bungie’s Server Maintenance and Updates page at the start of maintenance.

The fact that the servers are now going offline seems to have been urgent, because the message came surprisingly and quickly today.

Here is the exact maintenance schedule:

  • At 4:00 p.m. German time, maintenance work started in the background on all platforms.
  • At 5:15 p.m., the servers will go offline and players will be automatically kicked from all activities.
  • Update 7.1.0.1 will be rolled out on all platforms during this time and can be downloaded.
  • The expected login should then be possible again around 7:00 p.m.
  • Continuous background maintenance will end at 20:00 if all goes well.
  • Important: As long as the background maintenance is running, there may be connection problems in the game again and again. You may also have to expect queues when logging in immediately after the update.

Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may also not be accessible correctly for a while, preventing you from using them.

This changes with Update 7.1.0.1 in Season 21

It is also unclear which problems Bungie wants to address in the game with maintenance. Just a few days ago, information was shared that they were investigating an issue that was preventing players from equipping the new Twitch Emblem for Destiny 2.

In addition, only the already known bugs are on the list:

  • Players didn’t want lengthy mechanics and used a cheese to defeat the boss in the new dungeon. Bungie could address this issue today.
  • The text chat in the game for clans no longer works and there are other problems with the clans in Destiny 2. Sometimes you were completely clanless.
  • The Evens of Radius warlock exo is disabled in the new Spirits of the Deep dungeon.
  • The names of the artifact mods “Electric Armor” and “Buffed Up” are swapped.
  • The blinding effect of the shotgun “Until we return” is decoupled from the weapon.
  • The Dark Decision Auto Rifle fires silently.
  • Previous season ranks greater than 100 are not displayed correctly in the Journey menu.
  • When equipping a pistol or handgun, the player view shifts slightly to the left.
  • The portal in the HELM does not open for game endings during the Into the Depths quest.
  • There may be noticeable frame rate drops when accessing the Everversum Store pages.
  • Season 19 Clan Pole has the wrong title.
  • Patch Notes for Hotfix 7.1.0.1 in Destiny 2

What’s in the patch notes? Bungie publishes the comprehensive list of all changes to Hotfix 7.1.0.1 in the form of patch notes.

As soon as they are published, we will link them in this article, as this may change later.
