(Finance) – The last session of the week continues to rise for the Wall Street stock exchange, despite the words of the Federal Reserve Chairman, Jerome Powell, in an interview with Marketplace. The number one from the US central bank noted that with a tight labor market pushing wages higher, avoiding a recession that often follows aggressive policy tightening will be a challenge. Powell said he understands the backlash higher rates can cause, but he did not rule out that the Fed must act aggressively.
Among the US indices, the Dow Jones continues the day with an increase of 1.27%, to 32,133 points, reversing the trend compared to the series of six consecutive declines, which began on the 5th of this month; along the same lines, theS & P-500, which with its + 2.29% advances to 4,020 points. Excellent performance of the Nasdaq 100 (+ 3.5%); along the same lines, theS&P 100 (+ 2.23%).
The sub-funds are highlighted on the North American S&P 500 list secondary consumer goods (+ 3.82%), power (+ 3.44%) e informatics (+ 3.33%).
To the top between giants of Wall Street, Salesforce (+ 4.01%), Nike (+ 3.98%), American Express (+ 3.85%) e Goldman Sachs (+ 3.31%).
The worst performances, on the other hand, are recorded on Amgenwhich gets -1.16%.
Basically weak Merckwhich recorded a decline of 0.83%.
It moves below par Johnson & Johnsonshowing a decrease of 0.76%.
Between best performers of the Nasdaq 100, Docusign (+ 15.05%), Lucid (+ 14.18%), Crowdstrike Holdings (+ 12.52%) e Zscaler (+ 11.76%).
The strongest falls, on the other hand, occur on Amgenwhich continues the session with -1.16%.
Moderate contraction for Gilead Scienceswhich suffers a drop of 0.95%.
