It was around 8pm on Tuesday evening that the alarm to the police came.
– It is a confirmed gunshot wound. But we are not giving out any details, says Pelle Vamstad, press spokesperson for region Mitt.
Police do not currently know where the shooting took place. No reports of gunfire in Västerås or nearby have been received.
– We are working to find where this shooting took place. It is essential for the investigation to move forward. We have good resources in Västerås and the surrounding area and carry out investigations in several different locations, says Pelle Vamstad.
