A shooting occurred on Sunday evening in the Gottsundsgipen nature area in Uppsala.
The police received a call about suspected shooting at 21:37 and several patrols were ordered to the scene.
No one was injured, but it could be established that a shooting had occurred and several empty shell casings were found and seized, the police write on their website.
The police are searching the area with, among other things, a helicopter, but by 03:00 no one injured had been found in the area and no one is a suspect in the case.
A report of serious weapons crime has been drawn up.
