At around 8 pm on Friday evening, several shots were fired in the square in Skärholmen in southern Stockholm, many were witnesses to what happened.
Two men were hit by the shots.
At midnight, the police announced that one of the men had died. The other is still being treated for his injuries.
The target of the shooting was a 29-year-old gang criminal man, known to the police from before.
According to information given to Aftonbladet, he allegedly controlled the drug trade in Skärholmen on behalf of the criminal Vårby network.
It is the 29-year-old who dies, there on Wednesday night.
But it wasn’t just the 29-year-old who was hit by the shots. Another person was met 50 meters away, a man aged 55.
According to Aftonbladet’s information, he must have passed across the square and been shot by mistake.
The blood is still on the ground when Aftonbladet is on site.
One of those who know the injured man tells about yesterday, he points towards the road next to the square.
– That was exactly where he was shot. About 10 meters away.
He describes the injured man as very nice and kind.
– We see each other five days a week. He is a great person.
The store employee had just gotten off his pass when the shooting occurred. He must have been hit in the upper body.
“The children screamed”
A bingo hall in the city center was hit by several bullets. Next to the bingo hall is a restaurant.
– There were children left in the restaurant. They screamed and were very sad, says the friend of the 55-year-old who was shot.
He feels a sadness for what happened.
– It’s such a shame that something like this happens here in the city centre. I think of the family and friends of the deceased.
“Would go home and eat”
Another man stands outside the bingo hall and looks at the roses laid out at the spot where the 29-year-old died. He also knew the injured 55-year-old man – they met as recently as yesterday.
– We are familiar and talked a little. He was on his way home and was going to have dinner. I waved goodbye and said “see you later”.
Shortly thereafter, the man was shot. His injuries are said not to be life-threatening.
Despite a large police effort, no one has yet been arrested for the suspected murder and attempted murder in Skärholmen.
