On Saturday evening, the police responded to a shooting in Råcksta in western Stockholm.
A man has been shot and, according to information from TV4 Nyheterna, he is said to be seriously injured.
A large police operation is underway in the area and two ambulances were on the scene, one of which has gone to hospital.
The police are now looking for one or more perpetrators. According to TV4 Nyhetern’s information, witnesses must have seen both mopeds and a dark car leaving the crime scene.
Witness: “We heard a scream”
A witness who lives in the area says she heard several shots.
– We heard maybe six shots. Two fire trucks, two ambulances and a hell of a lot of police everywhere. There are big roadblocks and people out here. We heard a scream.
– It feels like a horror film. It’s not safe anywhere in Stockholm anymore, she tells TV4 Nyheterna.
Police helicopter circling
The emergency services were alerted at 9:16 p.m. and SOS Alarm describes the scene as chaotic with many people in circulation.
The police can also confirm that several people were in close proximity to the crime scene.
According to a witness, several police helicopters are said to be circling the area.
