A shooting took place on Drottninggatan in central Gävle during the night to Sunday, the police write on their website.

Three people have been injured in connection with the incident. One of them, a man with a gunshot wound, was taken to hospital after life-saving measures were carried out at the scene.
The injury status of all is unclear.
The incident took place outdoors on a street where several nightclubs and restaurants are located.
There were a lot of people on the move at the time, it’s a street in central Gävle where several premises were open, says Rutegård.
No one has been detained or arrested in connection with the shooting.
– And then no perpetrator has been arrested or detained in this case, so that work is still ongoing, says Rutegård.
Now the police are working on the scene with a big effort.
We have cordoned off the suspected crime scene to secure any findings. We also hear witnesses, there are several people who saw and heard the incident, and then we conduct a technical investigation, says Rutegård.
The police are investigating whether there may be a gang connection to the shooting.
