A shooting has taken place in the Nyfors district in Eskilstuna.
– We received several calls that loud bangs were heard in the area and that members of the public found a person with gunshot wounds, says Magnus Jansson Klarin at the police.
The person is said to be seriously injured, the police say. There should be no further casualties.
– The area has been cordoned off and we are on site to carry out investigative measures, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.
The incident takes place a day after a 25-year-old man was shot to death in the district of Skiftinge in Eskilstuna.
– It is too early to say whether they have anything to do with each other. Right now, work is underway to find out who the person with the gunshot wound is, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.
The incident is classified as attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences. No one is deprived of liberty.
