A man with a golden pickaxe has been shot by police in connection with a Dutch fan march. According to the newspaper, the man allegedly attacked fans and officials.
The police allegedly first used pepper spray against the man, but then had to resort to firearms. Initially, a warning shot should have been fired, but then the man was shot with several shots until he fell to the ground.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance. According to Bild, he must have been shot in the leg.
The background to the attack is still unclear.
Around 40,000 fans were in the party area at the time.
