An apartment building in the Ryd area of Linköping was fired upon during the night with several shots.
Police were called to the scene at 01.12 after several calls about loud bangs.
– We were able to establish that there was a shooting and there is damage to a property which confirms it, says Erik Creutz, officer on duty at police region East.
No one has been found injured and an operation is underway at the scene.
– We have some witness information, so there are many threads to draw on, says Erik Creutz.
The incident is currently being investigated as aggravated weapons offense and aggravated unlawful threat.
