Shooting at Pressbyrån in Gothenburg – see dramatic images

The Pressbyrån-employee man stood at the cash desk at Kungsportsplatsen on November 8 last year.

When the store was empty of customers, a person dressed in black entered at 6:57 p.m. He pointed the gun, which had a silencer, at the employee and approached him.

Then the perpetrator, who had masked himself with a motorcycle helmet, fired two shots that hit the man in the face and one side of the upper body respectively.

Reloaded the weapon

The store employee fell to the floor behind the counter and the shooter then reached over the cash register to fire the fatal shot.

But the gun clicked. The shooter tried to reload the weapon several times but could not get it to work. He then interrupted the murder attempt and fled the scene on an electric scooter.

The course of events lasting just over a minute was captured by a surveillance camera, images that TV4 Nyheterna can now publish.

Unclear motive – the boy denies

The shot victim suffered life-threatening injuries in the act. He has long been part of Gothenburg’s gang wars and belonged to one of the city’s criminal networks. The man also has a close relative who is judged to be highly placed in the conflict environment.

The shooting at Pressbyrån is therefore seen as part of the conflicts, but the police have not been able to clarify any particular motive in their investigation.

On Wednesday, a 16-year-old boy was charged on suspicion of attempted murder and serious weapons offences. The teenager denies any wrongdoing. He is previously unpunished and unknown to the police.

The trial is planned to begin at the beginning of June in the Gothenburg District Court.
