A person has been shot at the Mobilia shopping center in Malmö.
The person was found in connection with a pet shop.
– We don’t know if it happened in or outside the store, says Richard Lundqvist, the police’s press officer.
At 16.26 the police are alerted to a shooting at the Mobilia shopping center in Malmö.
– One person has been found injured, probably shot, says Richard Lundqvist.
The injured person is a man who was shot in the upper body, according to information given to TV4 Nyheterna.
The extent of the injuries is still unclear, but the person has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, a lone perpetrator has left the scene running with a gun in his hand. The task force and several police patrols are searching for the perpetrator.
At the pet store
Police do not yet know if the person was shot inside or outside a pet store adjacent to the mall.
– We are in a very intense phase right now, says Richard Lundqvist.
Information retrieval is now underway at the site.
– I assume that there are quite a few witnesses considering the time and place, says Richard Lundqvist.
Mobilia is one of Malmö’s largest shopping centers and houses over 100 stores.
