The police were called shortly before 9pm on Wednesday evening to a location in Hökarängen after many reported hearing loud bangs.
According to the police, shots were fired at a house facade and two people are said to have been seen running from the scene in connection with the incident.
– We would very much like to get in touch with witnesses who may have seen these people, says Daniel Wikdahl at the police in Stockholm.
According to him, no one was injured in the shooting.
The subway stopped
The police are classifying the whole thing as a serious armed crime, and an operation is underway with many patrols at the scene in the evening. An area around the property is cordoned off.
During part of the hunt for the perpetrators, the police stopped the subway trains from stopping at the Hökarängen station, according to SL.
The police fired warning shots in Bandhagen
Due to the incident in Hökarängen, a police patrol stopped a person in Bandhagen, about two kilometers shortly after 9 p.m.
– According to the patrol, the person had very deviant behaviour. During the intervention, warning shots were fired and the person was taken into custody, says Daniel Wikdahl.
The person was later released when investigation measures showed that he has no connection to the incident.
