The police were alerted to the Larsberg area at 11:51 p.m. after several residents in the area called in, an operation was launched on site with, among other things, a helicopter in order to locate the perpetrator.
People should have been in the apartment when the shooting occurred, but no injuries should have occurred, according to the police incident information.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into attempted murder and serious weapons offences.
Earlier on Monday evening, another apartment in Handen, south of Stockholm, was shelled. But if the shootings are connected, the police are tight-lipped about it at the moment.
– It is a little too early to answer, but we are investigating it at the same time as we are looking for a perpetrator, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.
