The shooter “Nine to Five” launched on May 16, 2022 on Steam. Just 5 months later, on October 19th, the end of the game was announced.
Which shooter is it? The shooter is the game title “Nine to Five”. The game is team-based multiplayer in first-person style, where the aim is to defeat the opponent with good strategy and squad cooperation.
The shooter comes from the development studio Redhill Games and was launched on May 16, 2022 on Steam.
At the beginning of the game in Early Access, in 2020, MeinMMO explained in more detail what the gameplay in the shooter looked like.
But now, just five months after the official release of the full game, there was an announcement on October 19, 2022 that the servers are going down soon.
How long will the servers be online? There will be no further updates or patches for the game, however the servers are still online this year. Then, on January 18, 2023, there is the final closure.
Why is the shooter closing on Steam?
What do the developers write about the closure? In an announcement on Steam, the “Redhill Games” team commented on the imminent closure. It states that they have carefully considered their decision but have now decided to put Nine to Five on hold. However, the decision would not have been easy for you.
The team is well aware that many players are attached to the game, however, regular updates with new content are not possible, which is why they made the decision to close the servers.
For further questions from players regarding future games by the Redhill Games team and refunds, please refer to the FAQs on the website.
What’s next? The announcement states, “From this moment forward, we will move away from developing our own titles and focus on collaborating with other game developers on joint projects” (via Steam).
So it seems that the team’s resources and time are now being diverted to future projects that they are developing in collaboration with other companies.
As Nine to Five draws to a close, other games, like the multiplayer shooter Redfall, are gearing up for their release on Steam. You can find the trailer here:
