The Algerian influencer “Zazou Youcef”, targeted by an OQTF, was arrested this Friday in Brest after having repeatedly called to “shoot” those who were going to celebrate the transition to the new year in the streets of Paris.
The Algerian influencer “Zazou Youcef”, followed by more than 400,000 subscribers on the social network TikTok, was arrested this Friday, January 3, 2025 in Brest (Finistère). He had called for attacks in France in recent videos, particularly against opponents of the Algerian regime in France. According to information from Le Figaro, the man, in an irregular situation, is under threat of an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF) issued by the Finistère prefecture since April 18, 2024.
“The Algerian influencer “Zazouyoussef” who called on his community to commit attacks in France will have to answer for his actions before the courts. He was arrested this morning in Brest. Thank you to the magistrates and the police who allowed this arrest. Do not let anything pass”, declared the Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau on arrest.
“We are going to rape you (…) Long live Algeria, I will finish you off”
In a video posted on TikTok, the Algerian influencer clearly threatens people wishing to celebrate the New Year in Paris. “We’re going to do to you like in the 90s, we’re going to shoot at you. You want to go out on January 1st? Shoot at them, we have to make the powder speak. President Tebboune (the Algerian president), shoot at them, they want it chaos,” he said in Arabic.

“We are at war. At the slightest misstep, we will kill your mothers. Shoot them, we will bury them with the Jews,” he continues, miming a throat-slitting gesture. “Those who go out to Paris, we will take care of them. And those who go out to Algeria, shoot them too (…) They are paid by France, the country in which I live. The Algerian authorities know me . Shoot them,” he says.
In a new video, potentially filmed in Brest, he continues his remarks: “Come and confront us. If you have something to say, we are here. We will fuck you, piss on you, we will rape you then fuck your mother ( …) Long live Algeria, I will finish you off,” he threatens.

According to information from the daily Le Télégramme, Youcef A., 25, was sentenced to 12 months in prison in December 2023 for having participated in the riots of June 29 and 30, 2023 in Brest after the death of Nahel, two days earlier in the Paris region. He did not appear to be a person known for radicalization but for other common law acts, the newspaper said.
