Exactly the reason they want to do something for their peers. And that comes close too, because Cathelijne’s father, Martijn van der Kroef, helps refugees with his transport company. He is the director of Viaanse Pouw Vervoer, which has already collected more than 500 people at the Polish-Ukrainian border and brought them to the Netherlands. “We came into contact with a foundation that asked us to pick up stranded refugees. That made such an impression, it was so harrowing, that we said: we are going to commit ourselves 100 percent to this.”
