The spacewalk of Cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitriy Petelin aboard the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft docked with the International Space Station has been cancelled. The cosmonauts planned to transfer some parts from the Mini Research Module 2 (Poisk) to the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module. However, the march was cancelled.
STATEMENT FROM ROSCOSMOS
The Russian International Space Agency (Roscosmos) announced that Prokopyev and Petelin’s departure from the station was canceled due to a coolant leak in the spacecraft.
NASA: “HEAT PRESSURE DROPPED WHEN IT WAS CLOSE TO THE STATION”
In the statement made by NASA, it was stated that the heat pressure decreased while the Russian spacecraft Soyuz approached the station, so the program of the Russian cosmonauts was canceled.
It has been announced that work has been started to solve the problem in the Soyuz spacecraft. The Nauka module, which was sent to the International Space Station in July last year, was docked to the station and Russian cosmonauts started some scientific research activities in this module. (UAV)
