In fact, the Swede dropped a full 11 (!) Seconds at the last 800 meters.

There was then the hope for Poromaa, which started last by the medal candidates. He also had a golden medal position after 9.2 kilometers and was second after the sovereign Johannes Hösflot Kläbo.

Many were shocked by how much the Swede hooked at the end and in Viaplay’s ski studio they were able to find that Poromaa dropped 11 (!) Seconds on the last 800 meters.
– Unfortunately, he can’t cope at the end, says the expert Anna-Karin Strömstedt in Viaplay.
The pallet thus became Helnorsk with Kläbo who won the World Cup gold, Erik Valnes took the World Cup silver, Harald Östberg Amundsen Trick the World Cup bronze and Anger became the best Swedish in fourth place. After the finish, William Poromaa was clearly disappointed.
-It was hard, it was damn tough conditions and I put myself in a good position but it was too difficult in the end to keep up, he says in the television.
– I thought it felt good today. Then I get it difficult when there is a lot of performance and there are too many flat parts down here at the bottom. It gets damn hard as well. It becomes more muscular to keep up and it didn’t feel great when I came down here after the first lap. Then I drove on my own speed up to the top of the second lap and then I heard that I was in the lead. Then it gets tough again then down. It runs away many seconds unfortunately. It’s boring. I was hoping for much more than this.
