The ship with an explosive cargo that was held in the port of Uddevalla for just under a week has been given the green light to travel on after an inspection by the Swedish Transport Agency, reports P4 Väst.
The ship was supposed to have left Uddevalla and headed for Nouakchott in Mauritania on Tuesday, but was stopped after a series of deficiencies were discovered on board.
There is ammonium nitrate on board and the deficiencies that were discovered on board concerned, among other things, the fire protection.
But now the ship can leave Uddevalla at three o’clock on the night of Tuesday, according to the radio channel.
Ammonium nitrate was behind the much talked about giant explosion in the port of Beirut in Lebanon in 2020.
