Sheriff shot judge in courthouse

A local sheriff in has been arrested on suspicion of murder after shooting a district judge in a courthouse in Whitesburg in the state of Kentucky in the southern United States.

According to the police’s initial investigation, the two of them must have had some kind of discussion or argument in the courthouse directly before the shooting. The 54-year-old judge was shot shortly afterwards inside his office, with several shots, and died there.

The suspected sheriff was arrested on the spot, without resisting.
