She wasnt treated with the respect she deserved

From 2005 Cote de Pablo was seen for the first time as a new team member Ziva David in the 3rd season of Navy CIS. The actress played her role for eight years until 2013, when she finally left the series.

Our international colleagues from SensaCine recently reported that the actress spoke specifically about her reason for leaving. She later returned to NCIS.

NCIS star wasn’t happy with her character’s development

In a 2016 Q&A, Cote de Pablo spoke about leaving NCIS at the time because Ziva was going to take a direction on the show that the actress wasn’t happy with:

I worked on Ziva for eight years and then I felt like the character wasn’t treated with the respect she deserved. they wanted [Ziva] send back to Israel and make her an unhappy, miserable woman. I didn’t think that was fair. I told them I won’t be coming back until someone can write something really awesome for Ziva.
