Turkey is among the most preferred countries for aesthetic operations. A 48-year-old woman from London nearly lost her breast due to a breast implant she had in Turkey.
Kelly Young of New Malden went under the knife almost 25 years ago to grow her cup size to DD. Doctors usually advise patients to replace their implants about every 10 years. Because implants can spread over time, Young’s implant on his right side burst in 2018. “It wasn’t causing a problem, but when I lay down my right breast was more sideways than the other,” Young told Kennedy News. “I thought I would keep them a little more alive. I went to Turkey to get a cure for new implants.

Young chose to have his second surgery in Turkey in September, where he paid about $4,500. Shortly after surgery, however, Young noticed that he was not healed, and was surprised to see pus oozing from the wound on his lower right chest. Looking closer, she saw that the implant had actually culminated in the scar.
SURGERY REDUCED IMPLANT
“He was literally hanging out,” said Young, who went to his doctor in England for help. He was prescribed antibiotics to beat the infection, but he still had to do something about the failed implant. He made his first flight back to Turkey in November. “I was advised not to fly, but it was my choice, so I decided to go back,” Young said. “I had to get on a plane while my implant was hanging down. I scared.” Upon arrival in Turkey, the surgeon claimed to have cleared the infection and replaced the 420 cubic centimeters implants with smaller size implants.
IN DECEMBER, HE FIND ANOTHER RIPPING
Young hoped the nightmare was over until he noticed another tear in his chest in December. He was devastated when he learned that both implants had to be removed forever. Since losing them, Young admitted that without his implants his self-confidence had plummeted and is now taking antidepressants. “I am very unhappy with them,” he explained. “I feel like I’m 12 again. I don’t let my boyfriend see me. Everyone knows me by my boobs.”

“I wanted to jump off a cliff,” he continued. “I feel like a different person. Young hopes to get implants again in the future. “I have to get them done or I can’t wear a bikini and summer will be a nightmare,” she said.
