She herself answers the biggest question in the last sentence and teases Season 2 perfectly

She herself answers the biggest question in the last sentence

Who is Erin Carter? is Netflix’s next Spanish thriller series to garner huge fan bases, after Money Heist and Elite. A second season has not yet been officially confirmed. But the very last scene occurs Door for Season 2 of Who is Erin Carter? far on.

We answer the two big questions of Season 1:

  • Who is Erin Carter?
  • What does the end on the beach mean?
  • Who is Erin Carter? explained at Netflix: The truth about Erin at a glance

Erin Carter is the main character of the Netflix hit Who is Erin Carter? It is played by Evin Ahmad (Quick Money). In the series we get to know her as a teacher, mother of 10-year-old Harper (Indica Watson) and wife of the nurse Jordi (Sean Teale). She has amazing powers to protect her daughter during a supermarket robbery – and that sets all plots and revelations in motion.

The three most important revelations about Erin Carter at a glance:

Erin Carter’s real name is Kate Jones. She was abandoned by her mother in the UK at the age of six and later became an undercover police officer.

Erin is not Harper’s biological mother. As an undercover cop, Erin Carter was part of a gang that carried out robberies. She became friends with gang member Lena (Denise Gough) and her 5-year-old daughter Harper. When Lena supposedly died in a mugging, Erin fled from both the gangsters and the police. She took Lena’s daughter and began her new life as Mama Erin in Barcelona.

    Who is Erin Carter?

Erin is a woman who protects her family at all costs. And that is ultimately the most important answer to the question of who she is. When the (but not dead) Lena stands in front of Erin’s door and wants her daughter back, it also calls the former financier of the robberies into action. Erin and her family are in mortal danger and she will do anything to protect Harper and Jordi.

At the very end of Season 1, Erin even answers the question of who she is herself.

The end of Who is Erin Carter? Explains: Erin answers the big question herself and teases Season 2 on

With the villains defeated and the truth digested, Erin, Jordi and Harper take a family vacation to the beach. Rather than leave it at that, the show is teasing a second season: Detective Inspector Jim Armstrong (Jamie Bamber), Erin’s former police chief, observes the family life from the beach bar. Erin sits down next to him.

Instead of arresting Erin Carter, he wants to recruit her:

I’m not arresting you on vacation. But you know how it is with vacations. At some point they are over and then work calls.

Erin wants to turn down his offer, but he leaves it open. This lays the foundation for the second season. DI Armstrong wants her back as an undercover cop.

    Who is Erin Carter?

Likewise, Erin answers the title of the series with her last sentence. So who is Erin Carter? After her conversation with Armstrong, she rejoins Harper and Jordi on the beach loungers. Jordi asks: “And what should I call you? Erin or Kate?” Erin responds with a confident smile: “Erin. I’m Erin Carter.”

That last sentence in season 1 not only answers Jordi’s question, it also clarifies the question of the series title. Who is Erin Carter? Erin Carter.

With that she is telling us that she will not give up her identity as Erin and her family. She’s become the person she imagined over the past few years – with a few extra skills. That opens a strong field of tension for season 2. Because if Armstrong doesn’t give up and threatens to put her in prison, she’ll have to work for him for better or worse.
