Do you remember when the final of Boba Fett’s book was published at Disney+ about three years ago? In the action-packed episode, the title-giving Star Wars head money hunter and his allies fight for Mos Espa and in the end actually stand victorious in the dusty streets of the Tatooine spacepliously.
The story was quite as happy for the embodied by Timothy Olyphant Cobb Vanth not against it. He already dies during the duel with Cadd Bane – at least the previous episode wants to believe that. However, as it turns out in the final, he slumbers in the Bacta tank in Jabbas Palace-and has been for three years now.
Cobb Vanth has been missing any trace for three years: What has become of the Star Wars fan favorite?
Has Star Wars forgot one of the biggest fan favorites from the mandover sse? Since the end of the Boba Fett’s book, we have never heard anything from Cobb Vanth again, although in series such as Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew and the Season of Season 3 of The Mandalorian would have offered the opportunity to return.
A concerned fan speaks on X (formerly Twitter):
Cobb Vanth has been in a Bacta tank for 3 years, can someone free it?

Where is Cobb Vanth? Is he sure? Is he doing well? Or he has actually been bobbing around the Bacta tank for three years and hoping that at some point someone will have pity before the same fate as Cillian Murphy in 28 Days Later and he stumbles through the empty streets of Mos Pa Pa Pa-Espa after the apocalypse.
Under the X-Post mentioned, some fans make fun of Cobb Vanth’s whereabouts in the Star Wars universe Funny and confess: “I forgot that he lives.”

A joking explanation for his abstinence in younger Star Wars stories: “The castle [des Bacts-Tanks] is broken, it cannot be opened, it cannot get out. “

Or put it in view of other franchises: “Being in a modern Disney post credits scene is a fate that is worse than death.”

At least we hope that Boba Fett cleaned the tank to his many Bacta baths before leaving him Cobb Vanth.

After the book by Boba Fett: Will we ever see Cobb Vanth in the Star Wars universe?
Cobb Vanth already made a guest appearance in two Mandoverse series: he had his first live action appearance in season 2 of The Mandalorian, followed by the Boba Fett’s book. After exposing the recent series, he could return to the cinema for the next Star Wars film.
With The Mandalorian & Grogu, the mandoverse dares to jump to the big screen for the first time. So far, only a few figures and acting for the film have been confirmed (Ua Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin and Sigourney Weaver in a mysterious role). A performance by Cobb Vanth would definitely be offered.
According to rumors, the film revolves around an exemption mission: DIN and Grogu should free Rotta The Hutt from the clutches of the bounty hunter Embo. Since this is a particularly clever opponent, Cobb Vanth would certainly be very welcome as a helping hand. But that is speculation at this point.
The Mandalorian & Grogu starts on May 21, 2026 in the German cinemas. Let us hope that someone until then someone will free the poor Cobb Vanth from the Bacta delirium. Last but not least, it would be far too bad if we never see Timothy Olyphant again in the distant galaxy. You shouldn’t neglect such a good casting.
