She has already broken a streaming record

Since January 18, 2024, the new Navy CIS spin-off NCIS: Sydney can also be seen in Germany after a bit of a wait. The series was already running in the production countries of Australia and the USA and set a streaming record: It was the most streamed Paramount+ launch of a CBS series, reports Screen Rant.

The new NCIS series had just three days after it started over 10 million viewers at Paramount+ and at CBS, which broadcast the series parallel to the streaming service. In this country you can also stream the first season of NCIS: Sydney on Paramount+ *. A new episode appears every Thursday.

Completely new challenges in Australia: That’s what NCIS: Sydney is all about

The franchise follows the spin-offs NCIS: LA, New Orleans and Hawaii for the first time in 20 years for an entire series in another country. The new spin-off NCIS: Sydney is therefore given an international charm. In the new story, a team from different nations and departments has to get together.

The new Sydney team consists of American NCIS agents and police officers from the Australian Federal Police. At the center of the action is Olivia Swann (Legends of Tomorrow) as NCIS agent Michelle Mackey. Mackey leads a five-person team investigating Navy matters in and around Sydney.

The major challenges faced by Agent Mackey and her team include not only the geographical circumstances of the Sydney location, but also understanding and cooperation between two unequal and culturally diverse teams and nations.

Also included in all of them eight episodes of the first season NCIS: Sydney stars Todd Lasance (Spartacus) as JD Dempsey, Sean Sagar (Mea Culpa) as DeShawn Jackson, Mavournee Hazel (Shantaram) as Blue Gleeson, William McInnes (Dirty Deeds) as Doc Rosie and Tuuli Narkle (Mystery Road: Origin) as Evie Cooper.

A second season hasn’t been officially ordered yet, but seems entirely possible thanks to the streaming success of season 1 on Paramount+.
