Even though SMHI flagged that there would be a setback with snow, there were many who felt a little taken aback.
The large amount of snow in a short time created problems in several places.
Among other things, there was total chaos in the traffic, as many had already had time to change to summer tires. During Tuesday, motorists stood in hour-long queues on both the E20 and E4, and finally they had to move in with tracked vehicles to try to solve the traffic chaos, which News24 wrote more about then.

The snowy weather affected several municipalities
But even on smaller roads, the snow storm caused chaos. On Facebook, for example, Götene municipality asked everyone to be lenient with the streets looking the way they did.
They said that the large amount of snow that fell in a short time was both heavy and compact, and therefore difficult to shovel. Something that resulted in the municipality having to find easy places to collect everything. They therefore meant that they started using both sidewalks and exits.
“Therefore, there will be streets where sidewalks and exits may be plowed again, this to be able to make the lanes drivable. We need to help each other,” the municipality writes, among other things, in its Facebook post.

The municipality also wrote that they hope residents can understand the situation and plan their trips well in advance or stay at home.
“As this is an unusual situation, we hope for your understanding that it is a situation that will not be resolved in the desired way. We need to help each other so that this can be as good as possible,” the municipality writes, among other things, in its Facebook post.

“Sure it’s difficult with a garden tractor?”.
“Strange, when I was a kid we had a lot of snow compared to today… But it was always well plowed on the streets and sidewalks… But they didn’t drive small tractors either, but big ones and loaders and shoveled the snow away on truck beds…”.
“I have a suggestion…. Start earlier so it won’t be as much and heavy next time”.
“Yes, with the small tractor, I understand that it will be heavy”.
“It’s a toy tractor, get proper stuff, we live in the Nordics”.
